for the second one, i've narrowed it down to one word. it sounds like it starts with a 'D':

Your first ____ blinded you left you cursing the day

The Line is: Your first dawn blinded you left you cursing the day . Again I used the closed caption on my tv and the lryics came up.

this isn't exactly on topic...but... my friend and I heard Green & Gray at a few concerts and would always hum and sing our own words for it. Well when the 30 second clip came out we learned that it is not

green is the color that Al Capone sees staring at me

yeah....we were REALLY REALLY off.....

Katy,
I, too, just KNEW he was singing about Al Capone!! I couldn't for the life of me figure out why, though!! Well, great minds think alike, I suppose... :)

Yay! Mags and I aren't the only ones!

Hey---you are from GA..did you happen to see them at Riverbend or Blue Plum? That is where I heard them sing it so maybe it was the way Chris pronounced it then :)

Katy,

I was at Blue Plum. I also have a live recording of them from the Covenant College concert in April, and even hearing it every day I messed up the lyrics! I think that's even sadder. Maybe I shouldn't admit it... Oh well!! :)

We are not really that weird. Sara, sean and Chris are some smart cookies. I bet they could figure out how to put subliminal messages in it to make us think it was Al Capone....or...maybe we are just weird..at least I know I am not alone now :)

have a great weekend
