I thought the concert was excellent, as did my sons, ages 13 and 16. I am so so glad we went. It was weird that it didn't sell out, especially after the Meijer Gardens show last July sold out after a couple of days. The audience was GREAT, which adds so much to the experience in my opinion. We didn't stay after because it was a school night and we had a bit of a drive; I was wondering what went on by the bus afterwards, how long they chatted etc. Does anyone know? It about killed me to leave without waiting for them haha. I got a good recording of the show thanks to the quiet audience..
I almost took the camera back to the car when we first got there, as there were signs plastered all over the front doors saying No Cameras. I went in anyway to make sure, and the security guy just checked my camera to make sure it was amateur and said it was fine. I never use a flash, and try very hard not to bother anyone while taking pictures. My apologies if I have; I can't help myself!

I didn't even see any No Camera signs, but we got there late. The opening act was already on stage. (And I thought he was totally hilarious!) When we came in, the guy made me open up my purse, which had my camera in it, but he didn't ask to see it or anything. He just waved me on through, which now seems odd that they checked yours and not mine because I have a huge camera! I always turn my flash off at shows like that. (If I'm at a big arena show like John Mayer, I leave it on. There's already so much nonsense and flashing lights going on that I doubt my flash is bothering anyone.) I have put tape over the two red lights on my camera, which I have found are a bit distracting.

I ran to my car straight after the show to get cheesecake bites I'd made for the band (and some for my friends) out of my cooler (which is why you saw me in the parking garage!) and then headed out to the bus. That put me getting out there a little late. Sara had already been out there and was finishing up chatting with the people that were out there. I missed getting to chat with her at all. I stood around for a few minutes chatting with my friends, assuming no one else had been off of the bus yet, as none of the people standing out there were leaving. There were maybe 15-20 people, a nice small crowd. After 5 minutes or so, Sean emerged, beer in hand. I chatted with him for a few minutes about nothing. It was my first time meeting him and I didn't really know what to say. I've been to many Creek shows, but I always end up missing getting to talk to Sean. He took a picture with us and was on his way.

Maybe 5 minutes after Sean came out, Chris emerged. He'd been eating his Zingerman's dinner, I believe. When he finally made it over to me and my gang, he'd pretty much already talked to everyone else. I didn't want to repeat questions I knew he'd probably heard a thousand times, about the Punch Brothers, their new cd, and all that, so I just sort of let him talk. We did ask him about Zingerman's, which he was more than happy to talk some more about. He was also really excited about the Punch Brothers shirts my friend and I were wearing, calling them epic. He was laughing and seemed to be in a great mood.

I would the whole after-show bus chat lasted about half an hour or so. I was having such a good time that I really didn't even pay much attention to the time.
