Hey, I am new to the boards, but I have been lurking for months...and you guys are cracking me up so much that I just had to join in on the fun.

Anyways, I just had a quick question. I recently saw that Nickel Creek was coming to the Tabernacle in Atlanta on Oct 11 with Gillian Welch and I was wondering if anyone new how to get tickets. Thanks a whole bunch! [party]

Hey...I am planning on going to that show too and I have looked around for tickets and haven't been successful either. I am sure they will be through ticketmaster sometime soon though within the next month. I haven't looked too much though so they may be out there somewhere. I will look further as soon as I get the money :)

I've been surfing around for ticket info for the Tabernacle concert, too, and haven't found anything... I definitely want to go. How about we keep each other updated with any news we find?

Hi fellow Georgians! I too am planning on going to the concert at the Tabernacle. And I too have been trying to find a way to search out some tickets. I just love it when they make it to Atlanta! I promise to keep ya'll posted if I find out anything...I hope we can find out something soon.

Yeah, definately keep me posted too. I have tried looking at the tabernacle website (www.tabernaclemusic.come) but it never comes up...course on all the Atanta sites it doesn't even say that they are coming...so it may have only been released today or yesterday or something....but I don't know.

Is anyone else looking forward to Gillian Welch as well...she is so great. Me and my boyfriend have been having a discussion about how you pronounce her name. Is it ponounced with the G or with a J like in Jill? Most Gillians are pronounced with a J, but he doesn't think so. What does everyone else think?

woo hoo!!! yey!!!! looks like all you guys are gonna get to meet the infamous NITEJULE at that show!!! yeah!!! woo!!!

ok i'm done now!! i will be coming from sc, like its that far. but i really hope that i can make it to the show. i am almost positive that i will make it to the show!! so i hope to see some of you there!!!

Last night I was watching the Down From the Mountain special on PBS, of which Gillian Welch was a big part...and so now I know how to properly pronounce her name...its with a hard G sound, like Gilligan..you know...Gilligan's Island...I love that show...lol...sorry, got side tracked. Anyways, I hope that helps!

yeah i made that post a few posts earlier and i just guess no one saw it. i wonder if they DID cancel it?? i hope not but there is always that possibility, but i think if they did that they would reschedule a show in the area!!

my boyfriend made a good point by saying that if they are going to the UK then they will have to go through either Atlanta or NY or something to get there so maybe they will come. . . .I hope it is not cancelled! (actually it seems like they would put cancelled next to the show like they did the other ones...who knows?)

i suppose they'll still come to atlanta (after reading chip's message about their expansion), and if they're going to the tabernacle, the way to get tickets will be through ticketmaster (phone, online).

yeah, thx to all of y'all (i think it was you nitejule) who i first saw that said they were possibly coming to atlanta....i hope so...this nashville concert is three and 1/2 hours away...(but its worth it from what i hear). anywho...yeah..if i hear anything new about the schedule here in the atl...i'll be sure to post....and it would be cool meeting some of y'all.....where do y'all live in ga? oh...and vote tomorrow too!

Yeah, I live in Woodstock but lived in the ghetto..I mean Marietta for awhile (osborne high school). And as far you PrincessNic, I have a good friend of mine who builds instruments and loves bluegrass up there. I think he lives in Ringold or something like that...las exit on 75 before TN. Well cool beans...more nc fans near me than I thought. Oh, is there a NC fan here who goes to Emory...b/c if so..I heard you driving by in a jeep playing out of the woods while I was working...yeah..it just sorta made my day...
Oh, are any of y'all from Ga going to Nashville concert this weekend? I might have an extra ticket..or not..I have to see how it goes but just wondering. Don't forget that they are suppose to be on CMT Wanted Live Friday right? And I think they are doing a show friday at the tower records store too.. So...if you can go...check it out.

i live in anderson SC its about 1 1/2 hours north of atlanta!! but i usually go to alot of ATL shows!!

I would love to go to the Nashville show...but I really wanted to get tickets for the Atlanta show...my boyfriend loves NC as much as I do and that was going to be his birthday present, but if they don't come then I am at a loss for what to get him...hmmm...I hope they come.

And Goose, your friend lives on the last exit on 75 before TN...that is where I live too...does your friend have a shop or anything where he builds instruments? That is really neat that I live right near him.

Oh, hey - I went to Lassiter. But I'm long gone from there. Now I live by the air force base, which, um... sucks!

Anyway, this was kinda off topic. So let me just say Tabernacle Show to make it look like I'm on task.;)

He doesn't sell his instruments...just makes them..and mighty nice too. He makes cabinets for living...you couldn't tell if you saw his house but he does so...yeah......hmm...*cough* tabernacle show*

I am from Gwinnet county...I live about 30 minutes to an hour away from downtown Atlanta depending on traffic. I really like the area I am in for the most part. :) I hope to get to meet some of you guys or something and I hope soo muhc that NC comes to Atlanta!

I'm in Toccoa (which is an hour N of Athens)...only aroudn 40 minutes from Anderson, SC too :)

Hey ya'll...just to add where I'm from....I live in Sautee, which is just next door to Cleveland (White County), which is just like 20 minutes from Toccoa! Anyway, that's me!

I just happen to live in Canton, GA, which is right next to Woodstock. And the Tabernacle concert is still listed on the SugarHill's concert list, so I'm thinking it's still goodo to go.

And that contradiction is frustrating. But I tend to believe the nickelcreek.com info because it seems to be updated more.

But the minute anyone hears about tickets or a rescheduled date, holler over here!

:D It is still listed on Sugar Hill's site? That is great news! I hope that means they are still good to go...gives us Georgians some hope.
