Taipan,

Wow, I have not heard anyone mention Dizzy Mizz Lizzy for about 7 years. I dated a girl from Denmark for quite a while and she gave that cd with Silverflame on it. What a great song that is. I have not listened to it in a very long time. I'm going to go listen to it when I get home tonight. Thanks for the reminder.

I agree that 10 songs is way too hard... I'll chime in with 10 albums, though, from a perspective that I'm surprised I don't see more of around here...

1. Bela Fleck - Bluegrass Sessions
2. Strength in Numbers - Telluride Sessions
3. John Hartford - Aereo-Plain
4. Chris Thile - Not all Who Wander are Lost
5. Edgar Meyer - Short Trip Home
6. Edgar Meyer - Uncommon Ritual
7. Bela Fleck - Drive
8. Jerry Douglas, Edgar Meyer, Russ Barenberg - Skip, Hop, and Wobble
9. Norman Blake and Tony Rice - Blake and Rice 2
10. Norman Blake - Whiskey Before Breakfast

wow, someone earlier mentioned Over the Rhine? I'm actually impressed...they are in my top favorite bands....along with Toad the Wet Sprocket.....and Counting Crows.

I'm too tired to post favorites. Besides, it changes every week. I'm currently digging a lot of Wilco and Whiskeytown.....

Of couse in no order:
Nickel Creek - Nickel Creek
Nickel Creek - This Side
Chris Thile - Not All Who Wander Are Lost
Sean Watkins - Let It Fall
Chris Thile - Stealing Second
Chris Thile - Leading Off
Duke Ellington - Prelde To A Kiss
Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
Cirque Du Soliel - Mystere Live
Chuck Mangione - Live At The Hollywood Bowl
M2M - Shades Of Purple

I know that's actually 11 but forgive me I can't decide. Heck this took my about 7 minutes to write. The only definite cds that will always be on the top ten list are the Nickel Creek, Sean Watkins, and Chris Thile albums.
