Just a reminder everyone tommorow(Friday) I am going to try to ask all the band members If you were a hotdog and you were starving would you eat yourself?

On some boards I frequent, just my responding (even if negatively) to your hotdog posts would be called feeding the trolls and I would be erased completely for doing so. I'm just telling you this so you will say Thank You God! everytime you log on to this board. You are soooooo lucky.

Now, are you really going to ask SS&C that question? You won't be embarrassed to ask that question? And you will give us their answers, honestly and with no editing?

This must be a generational thing.

I grew up as a kid in southeran california bluegrass scene around the same time NC did. So Chris knows who I am. So to answer your question yes I will ask as many of them I can that question that is if I get the chance to talk to them. If I do I will ask them all and post exactly what they say. No joke.:D

yeah the question is kinda well...stupid....but i must admit i am looking forward to hearing what they say. i think its gonna be quite funny, plus nc has great personalitys and they are kinda humerous themselves so i think they will get a kick outta it

Hotdog boy arrested for harrassing band!

At 10 pm Friday night, a hotdog fanatic posing as Bart Simpson was dragged in handcuffs from the scene of a concert given by the rising acoustic stars of Nickel Creek. When questioned about the incident, the members of the band seemed flabbergasted. He just wouldn't leave us alone, said Chris Thile, mandolin prodigy and Nickel Creek member. He kept pestering us about a hotdog, and would we eat it, and then he called us hotdogs! At times, I was scared for my life. Witnesses say he was still screaming nonsense as he left in the police car. I heard him shout something about 'Jacey being right', and 'I have to get back to the boards!' as the cop shut the car door, said a bystander, standing in shock on the busy Nashville street....

Or something like that! Ok, can you tell I'm bored? :)

Ok people you have all waited a long time for my reply so here it is! It all started out around 5:30 standing in the front row of CMT live. If you look close enough I am the guy with a black shirt and a little yellow moon on the front left side anywho, I am rambling. So right from the start Sara recognized me and said that she would sign all my stuff later so I was like cool.(I have known the band for a while now). So the performance on CMT was great and they all gave a great interview. So after the performance on CMT they were playing at Tower records right accross the mall. So off I headed! They ended up playing around 12 songs it was awesome! They played material form both their cd's and they are as usual just as good live as their recordings. So off I was headed to meet the band. I decided if that question was going to be asked that I should have some props so I went to the nearest hotdog stand and purchased the most hungry looking hotdog I could fine. The greeting started off with Sean hotdog in hand. When I asked him he was flabbergasted and looked at me as if I was from a nother planet. I then told him it was a real question and he again looked right through me and stated I dont know I will be thining about it for a few weeks now. (Sean has always come off to me as a little different)Let the fighting begain! Lol. Next was Sara. She was a little more high spirited about the question and chuckled a little, her reply was Do hotdogs get hungry? When I said yes she replied with. I dont like hotdogs so I wouldent eat myself. I was in a state of horror. What is a matter with these people! Dont they eat hotdogs. Then there was Chris. He was delighted with the question! He was laughing through the whole conversation Chris said Of course I would I am a hungry hotdog I felt as giddy as fat man in a hotdog factory! So what have we learned?
Nickel Creek is great live! Sean dosent think to highly of odd ball questions . Sara dosent like hotdogs and wouldent eat herself and Chris would eat himself in a heart beat. I told you all I would come through!

wow bart, that is good. i was interested at how they would respond and for some reason I thought Chris would actually answer that way. the only thought and question in my mind is tomorrow when i go to the concert, if i get the chance to ask them a question...should it be about the guy w/the hotdog....?
at first i was planning something they probably don't get asked a lot...and i think that would fit...yes...i love your music and just wanted to know...if you were a kosher hotdog (like the hebrew national kind) would you eat yourself then? but then again...i don't think i'd want to use (*cough* waste) my question on that....plus....i think w/the way i usually put my foot in my mouth...i would be the one arrested...lol

And I'm not sure if a can see you in there or not. I see a few black shirts, none w/ yellow moons. What kind of shirt? Where are you supposed to be? At first, I thought you were the guy right in front (middle table) w/ the Bart-like blonde hair (it would make sense), but no yellow moon...and I don't have to look closely to see that guy. He's right in front.

i think that would be an amazing and rather hilarious plot by the message board to get everyone to ask them about hot dogs. they might get a little self-conscious like chris wondering..(so do the fans think i resemble a hot dog?) or they will go back checking all their lyrics looking for hidden hot dog meanings....hey...we could tell them that is what we hear in the whispering part of speak...maybe annoying them so much b/c it isn't....that they tell us...or same idea w/what is the deal w/the girl on the cover..etc...anyways...i'd die if i saw during an interview that the band asks...what's the deal w/hotdogs?!

Who knows their next album might have a song entitled hotdog! I think it would be so funny of someone else asked them that question and they posted the answer here! I have a friend in California that is going to ask the band that question when they play in Chico in the next couple of months. That is if he gets the chance.:-)) this is so cool!

Hey once again I will be seeing Nickel Creek tonight and will be trying to convinve friends of mine to ask the infamous HotDog question. I will post back tonight around 11 at night Tennessee time. Or it might be later. Hotdog!

I am seeing them in KC on Mondaytoo, but I think that I am just going to let NCFreak do the asking.
I am already driving 4 hours on a school night to see them (I will get about 2 hours of sleep Monday night)and I AM the girl who drove 16 hours to see them in Chattanooga, PLUS I design little things like notebooks, journals, tshirts etc...and I have made them all a little journal/notebook.......
SO....I am already a little self concious about appearing to be the crazy fan...but yeah...Bryan you should most definitely ask :)

Oh- and btw--- I think Bart is humourous and refreshing. I think on this board we sometimes take ourselves and our nickel creek love a little too seriously (myself VERY MUCH included in this) so it is nice to see someone just being so silly :)

On a side note...my tickets still haven't arrived. So, TicketMaster is faxing the Uptown a 'Lost Ticket Voucher' or something. Ok guys, this is my final, absolutely last post on the subject of Bart and his hotdog. I promise.

Although I don't find Bart or a hotdog humorousor refreshing, it's tolerable if kept on the boards. What I object to mostly is that you took it to NC.

I don't find any humor in deliberately putting SS&C on the spot. They've just finished a three hour show to please you. They are taking the time to meet with you. And you want to catch them reacting to a silly question? Why would fans do that? Trying to embarrass them? Make them respond in a way that we can all have a good laugh at the next day? Oh, that's nice.

Yes, Katy, I take my fandom seriously. I take NC seriously. I take courtesy even more seriously.

geez....and i thought i was over zealous.....kudos (not the bars the other meaning of kudos..which i don't know..) to bart for asking....and to whoever went off on him...ouch...but i see your point...then again look at it this way.....all you do is play for ppl and sign stuff...and ppl ask you a lot of the same questions over and over....like they say they get tired of talking about how they met so i think being the somewhat quirky ppl they are..would enjoy it as something different and just something to laugh at....oh and by the way...they also have known bart for awhile (not from the hotdog question i hope) and so i would think that would give him a little more slack in asking that question....
yeah and i was reading chips posts....man, did y'all get mean and dirty or something? he had to take the post off? wow...but when the question was raised...could we be more on topic to other stuff about nickel creek?....this is (atleast now) the random section isn't it? and it could be worse as in...who do you like better.? who is dating who...blah blah blah ...anywho..i just find bart and his questions amusing....
