real or not?

ok i found this on ebay and i think the signatures look absolutely nothing like Chris and Sara's real ones. what do you guys think? i have a bunch of autographs from them (even from awhile ago) and none of them have ever looked like that.

I doubt it. There are a lot of fakes out there. I met actor Nick Wechsler and got his auto and have seen ones on Ebay that look COMPLETELY different. He's on a tv show called Roswell with this other guy named BrendAn Fehr and I've seen fake autos of his sold on Ebay spelled BrendEn Fehr. Some people can be such idiots LOL.

Those don't look real to me. In my experience, Chris always (ALWAYS) draws a Jesus fish (as they're commonly called) next to his name. I don't see it on the poster, so I'm doubtful.

Really? I have Chris's autograph three times and have never gotten a fish.

I didn't think I had one either, but look close...it's there. He does it so fast, it's hard to make out. At first, you think it's part of the 'T' in 'Thile,' but it's not.

they do a million versions of the autogaphs- i have seen many varations. the most common are chris's fish- and sara's seek him but i would not imediatly say it is fake because those are missing..... an dby the way- i have seen a sara, no last name.... if it is ever spelled with an h though- you might have apretty good clue!

howevre i woudlnt ever get a autograph online or from someone you don't know- there are too many people that do rip offs- they can be faked pretty well.... the only way you will ever know 100% for sure is if you saw them signing it- or know someone who did...

And how hard is it to get an autograph yourself anyway? Not very. If you want to spend money, buy a concert ticket...don't waste money on just an autograph.

Of course, I'm not a huge autograph person. Personally, I'd rather have the opportunity to meet them and a hand shake. The NC autographs I got this week were only the 2nd ones I've ever asked for. The 1st was Kristi Yamaguchi, and that wasn't even for me.

i have an autograph collection. and i have alot of nc autos, lol. but i have other ones too. i do occasionally get them from ebay, but i only buy from known dealers and highly respected ones. pluse they always have a pic of the person signing the item too so thats a plus. but they don't come cheap that way either. adn the music acts i have autos of i met myself!! so i know they are real, lol. but i have a few actor/actresses that i bought. but like i said they have pic that show the person signing the item and also have a COA so thats a plus too. but you still have to be careful i look into the people i buy from and sometimes even call the person on the phone to verify things. only the respective dealers have that!

so i emailed the guy who was the high bidder, but i don't know if he believed me or not! if he didn't i think the final price was something like $22.50!! well that stinks for him!!

i thought it was fake all along :) thanks jess for def clearing that up for us. not only that but that isn't the first auto like that, that has been sold. i think the same person is selling duplicates of that so just watch out. and its not like its that hard to meet nickel creek since they are sooo awesome!
