I thought some of you might be interested in knowing that Chris plays on 2 different tracks on Kelly Willis' new album Easy. If you are not familiar with her she is a fantastic singer-songwriter who sings country music the way it should be sung. I recommend the ablum to anyone who enjoys a little authneticity to their music.

Just for random information: Kelly is married to another great singer-songwiter named Bruce Robison, and Bruce has a brother named Charlie, who is also a great singer-songwriter, well Bruce is married to Emily from the Dixe Chicks. Kind of interesting, huh. I can only imagine what Christmas is like around their house, plenty of picking and singing I'm sure.

I just might have to check that one out. I remember her having some videos I liked a few years ago and I liked the song she did with Bruce, Angry all the Time (at least I think that's what it's called). I just seemed so much more authentic and emotionally honest than the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill version. I guess that's usually the way it is though sometimes when the person who wrote the song does it verses someone else.

Oh, and I saw her new video and I'm pretty sure I'm going to like it too once I get used to it. (I've only seen it once.)

Kelly is the George Jones of female country singers, as well as my all time favorite female singer. I wish the album had a few more upbeat songs on it, but it's still much better than anything the more popular female country singers turn out. Chris also plays on Radney Foster's new album Another Way To Go. It's not one of Radney's finest efforts, but what I said about Kelly's album can be said here too. It comes out Sept. 10.

My bad. Charlie is married to Emily.

The George Jones of country music, what a perfect way to describe her!!
